Hey everyone, I couldn't make it. However, I am interested in hearing (reading) any stories about the flight, the ball and any matchmaking success stories from the trip. This is for a project for a story I am developing.
Thanks ahead of time for any help.
Cheers!

Just wanted to wish all of you flying over from stateside a really great flight!! For your flying pleasure please remember there are lots of single kiwis hoping you don't do any matchmaking on the flight, please keep your seats in the upright position, save yourselves for the ball, and try not to initiate the mile high club until your flight home ;)
Seriously, pack clothes for cold weather with perhaps a light rain jacket, buy lots of champagne duty free at AKL airport, have a cruisy day upon a…

New Zealand's Prime Minister John Key (also our Tourism Minister) did the
top 10 list on Letterman last night.
Good reasons, I say. Catch the video on TVNZ website or watch the YouTube from the front of the site....looks like he may be picking all of you up from the airport ;-)
If you want to get in touch with him via Twitter and tell him what you thought of his appearance, he can be…

Just found out that while i WILL be traveling over the October 17th weekend... it won't be to NZ. Rather, i'm scheduled on a work trip to Denver. Still fun, but not even comparable!!! I was very much looking forward to this awesome opportunity to get out and meet more people, not to mention explore NZ from top to bottom. More than a wee bit bummed to say the least!!!

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Heaven, God went missing for
six days.
Eventually, Michael the archangel found him. He inquired of God,
"Where were you?" God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and
proudly pointed downwards through the clouds; "Look son, look
what I've made".
Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?"
God replied, "It's a planet and I've put LIFE on it. I've named it
Earth and there is a balance between everything on it. For example,
there's North Americ…

I'm a bit nervous about driving on the opposite side of the road . I'm doing the small car / hostel accomodation vacation. Since it rains A LOT in South New Zealand, The highlight that I'm most looking forward to is an overnight cruise in the fjords on Doubtful Sound and driving/hiking in Milford Sound. That will be unique scenary unlike in the USA except Alaska where the scenary blew me away.
I love to travel and my photography is just as much or maybe even more important than the journey itsel…

For many years I've wanted to photograph the South Island of New Zealand. In Europe years ago I travelled with Kiwi's on a tour who raved about the beauty of their country. So now my dream is coming true. I love photography and natural beauty of the land. I can't wait to explore New Zealand on my whirlwind photo journey over a two week period. I plan to rent a car after flying to Christchurch from Auckland. Each morning I'll arrive for sunrises at especially scenic areas for photography. I plan…

Have to admit that I've never been to the "Real South", though I live/grew up in Georgia, 'round Atlanta. Looking very much forward to this whirlwind trip! Dreamt about visting New Zealand when I was growing up. Didn't think I'd be visiting it quite in this way. I don't think I'll believe it until I get on the plane!

The best place to have a pre-flight party is near LAX, so we all safely and on time meet our Air New Zealand flight not in Omaha! We can party on the plane, a 13 plus hour flight and in Auckland or where-ever you should end in NZ.

OK. I've been thinking... (smell the smoke). Omaha, Nebraska is about the center (centre) of the United States. I think Paul Svaboda's idea of a pre flight get together in California was a great one but the location was all wrong (sorry Paul). You see, Omaha is the obvious place for everyone to meet because of its central geographical location! What does everyone else think? Besides, Omaha has a very nice zoo!
