- Hey Lats - Good to hear from you! Wow, you going out to Perth huh? OMG, I love Perth! I've been to Perth five times and know it like my own city! Great place except it'll be nice and hot when you go there over the holidays! Have you been there before? Be sure to go out to Freo or Fremantle and look around! Great place for eating, having fun and enjoying life : ) ! And, if you're really looking for a great adventure, go out to Rottnest Island and see the quakkas, a kinda wallaby like animal. Rottnest is so fun! And, if you are looking to pick up some macho, macho hard guys, go out to the mining town of Kalgoorlie and check out the open pit! I've heard Aussies and people from around the world will go to that city looking for very high paying jobs. Many will work a year and have enough to live very nicely for years to come. However, the work is bloody hard and grueling! Hope you get to experience that new cruise ship! BOI are so beautfiul that it'd be nice for you to see it all in luxury. Thanks for the congrats on being the "member of the week". It's a privilege : ) ! Keep in touch and let me know how Perth goes! If you need ANY advice about, please email me! Also, I've been all over WA (funny as my home state of Washington is also abbreviated as WA!) so if you're ever keen on seeing other places, let me know. You'd love Broome, nice and relaxing. - Yeah...it was a blast two weeks ago (hard to believe it was that long ago!). Should've listened to you about not getting "cooked" out there. I came home looking like a lobster on my back. Luckily, I am on the mend : ) !
I've basically come to the conclusion that I don't want to wait around for "the one" to come along to go off to these "romantic places". It does not bother me at all, most of the time, traveling alone. I traveled all through India on my own! God, was that ever a rush. There were some awfully beautiful places there but a lot of places I would soon rather forget!!!
So, how many kids do you have? I remember you saying you had an 18 yo son and I know you have a daughter?! You seem like you'd be a very good and fun mother!
Yep...still "on the market"! Now then, had I been drinking like 99.9999999% of the others at the party maybe I would've had better luck. Alcohol seems to make everything and everyone attractive. The place reminded me of a junior high dance with all the people making out and acting crazy but it was a lot of fun in amongst the chaos.
Not sure when I'm getting back to the southern hemisphere...I am planning to go to Ukraine and Central Asia in the spring. Been forever since I've been to a Russian speaking country and my language skills need improvement big time!
Power cut for four hours huh? Wow...that sucks! Reminds me of India where you'd be typing out something important and BOOM, there goes the power, all your work GONE! Although, usually the guys @ the internet cafes would warn that a power cut would be coming up soon. I once had a situation @ the Varanasi airport where the power cut nearly five times in a period of a half hour. Each time we were left in the dark! The joys of India : ) !

I am back in the US after a kick ass time out in The Cooks. The one thing that really sucked was I got badly, badly, badly sunburned snorkeling! I thought I had put lotion on my lower back but..............need I say more, did not! Hope you are great and i'll have to stop off up north next time I'm down in Aotearoa and see you.
