Hi JP,
Your perception of Romance is lovely, and your words I am sure would have struck a chord with a few members of the Romantic Forum and others on this site as well.
For me the exquiste words of a one of the great song standards of yesteryear, says it all about Romance.
"Isn't it Romantic?
Music in the night, a dream that can be heard.

Even though people around me tell me that I'm tough, I know I'm romantic, and love to be threatened with flowers and candle lit dinners !

Interesting posts to be sure! It only furthers my excitement to come and see NZ for myself. I understand why meeting someone from another country would be more interesting than someone from your own home. Most of us are big travelers and we do it to see other cultures and to expand our horizons. Meeting people from half way around the world is definitely intriguing and fulfills all that curiousity about what makes someone else tick. I live in a very small town and it's hard to meet new people at all. I am looking forward to meeting many friendly, forthright, rugged NZ men.
