"A Pre-Party," "The Party," and of course, the "After Party"..

Matchmaking Flight Passengers: Love is in the air and will definitely be on the ground in Auckland. It's time to see if opposites really do attract on the other side of the world. Once the flight lands, get some rest, freshen up then plan on donning your favorite party shoes and get ready for the ultimate coupling experience in New Zealand!

We'll start with a pre-party at 6:30pm, move onto the official party at 7:30 and then no great night can end without an afterparty! Flight guests are invited to meet at the SKYCITY Grand Hotel
lobby starting at 6:30pm for pre-party cocktails.  At 7:30pm, party buses will escort you to the official Matchmaking Party spot, The Wharf situated on Auckland's sparkling Waitemata Harbour. From 8pm-Midnight, you'll be greeted by single Kiwis and enjoy an unforgettable evening of music, food, wine, cocktails, celebrity guests, fun and perhaps some magnetic connections.

If sparks are flying and it's too early to call it a night, the party
buses will depart The Wharf at midnight
to take Singles to the
After-Party at SKYCITY's Bar 3.

Hi everyone,
Please be patient with Sarah, as you can imagine she will be fielding several emails all at once. She will get back to you as soon as possible about your tickets. Cheers

Kia Ora Aroha, I have sent several email to Sarah Reeves in regards to the ticket to the ball and have not heard anything back from her. Please help as i would hate to miss out on the ball. I invited some of my friends to the ball and interestingly they have received confirmation. I have booked my accommadation in Auckland and arranged transportation so I hope it won't get wasted. Anyone with a spare ticket please keep me in mind. That will be much appreciated.

I have e-mailed Sarah Reeves again about tickets to the ball after not getting a reply from her for about four days. She replied earlier today saying she had reserved a ticket for me and would be sending another e-mail and the ticket shortly. If any Kiwis haven't received news about their tickets, all I can suggest is they follow up with her again. Hopefully that'll work. It would be a shame if none of us Kiwis could attend due to lack of planning by Air NZ!

I thought they said that tickets were free for Kiwis, but now they don't seem to be providing a way of getting them. I even spoke with Terry @ the LA office and told her about the Kiwis concerns about tickets. From what I can tell....it seems Air NZ is a bit over its head on this whole thing! They are not even sure what equipment they'll be using for the flight!

I have about 5 friends who want to come to the ball with me, but considering I can't even get a ticket or find out any info on prices or how to get a ticket what hope do they have as they haven't signed up! What is going on Air New Zealand? I have emailed sarah reeves to "register interest" and STILL NOTHING for us kiwis wanting to go to the ball. Looks like the americans and canadians will be partying without us.

Could someone please advise the cost of the Ball tickets for those of us already in NZ. Thanks

So pre ball cocktails at Sky City - I am wondering what cocktails if any are traditionally Kiwi? When I was in my early 20's I did a Great Aussie Bar school course and won the cocktail competition - since I am a kiwi I guess my one is tradtional. It is top secret but I could be persuaded to help the barman make some for you to sample.................

Hey Suzanne - I was curious about your inquiry regarding AKL and getting back to Sky City from The Wharf. I went to the AKL public transit sight Maxx and see that there is a ferry that goes from nearby The Wharf in Northcote to the AKL CBD (central business district). It will dump you off about a mile short of Sky City at the Ferry Terminal. From there you can either walk or there is a free bus that circles around Queens' Street but probably not late at night. A taxi ride from the Ferry Building to Sky City probably is not that expensive. Sky City hotel should be very easy to find...just look for the Sky Tower, the tallest most recognizable building in all of AKL! Let me know if you need anymore info about AKL or NZ.
